An overturned car has stopped traffic on the M25's anti-clockwise carriageway, between the A1(M) and London Colney.

The crash, which involved two vehicles, took place at around 4.35pm this afternoon (Tuesday, November 21).

All four lanes were closed, causing two miles of congestion. Two lanes have now reopened, however.

There are still delays of around 40 minutes, with heavy traffic near South Mimms and Potters Bar.

A spokesperson for Hertfordshire Constabulary said: "Police were called at around 4.35pm today (Tuesday, November 21) following reports of a two-vehicle collision on the M25 anti-clockwise between Junction 23 (A1M) and J22 (London Colney).

"Highways colleagues attended, and two lanes are shut while recovery work takes place.

"No injuries have been reported."
