A suspected thief was chased by police, after items were taken from Blacks in Welwyn Garden City.

The incident took place in the early afternoon of Saturday (November 18), when the suspect entered into Wigmores North store.

After the theft, an officer chased a suspect on foot.

The stolen items have since been recovered, and the suspect's bike and mobile phone were found left in The Doctor's Tonic pub, in Church Road.

This led to the following message being released via Hertfordshire police's Facebook page: "Is this your bicycle?

"You left it behind (along with your phone) after stealing from Blacks in Welwyn Garden City on Saturday.
