A Potters Bar carer is "humbled and overjoyed" after winning the Care Home Activity Coordinator Award in the East of England division the Great British Care Awards.
Zachary Ekpe, who works at Mayfair Lodge Care Home, was presented with the award in a ceremony at the Ballroom at Milton Keynes Dons Football Stadium on Friday, November 3.
He said: "I am humbled and overjoyed to be recognised for doing what I love—improving the lives of our residents.
"This award belongs to the entire Mayfair Lodge Care family, and I couldn't have achieved this without their support and dedication."
Zachary will now go on to the national finals in Birmingham next year.
