More than £120,000 worth of jewellery has been stolen in following a burglary in Tewin.

The incident occurred at around 8.30pm on Saturday, October 21, at an address in the Upper Green area.

The victim was alerted by a barking dog, before going into the kitchen and spotting one of her necklaces outside on the floor, before then noticing the bedroom had been ransacked.

There were several items of jewellery, including necklaces and watches, taken during the burglary, with the items valued at a total of more than £120,000.

"I am appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident to report any information they have, no matter how significant they think it is," said Detective Constable Max Maguire, from the East Herts Local Crime Unit, investigating.

"If you were driving in the Upper Green area at the time stated, and have a dashcam, please check your footage to see if you captured anything that may support our investigation.

"I would also like to ask any residents to check any CCTV or doorbell camera footage they may have to see if it has recorded anything before or after the incident.

"Additionally, if anyone has noticed any of the below items of jewellery for sale under suspicious circumstances, please report this to police."
