A suspected thief was spotted by police in Potters Bar and fled the scene, leaving behind a bike officers believe to have been stolen.

Officers saw the man in Highview Gardens at around 2.50am on Monday morning (October 23).

Upon being seen, he "made off" and left the bicycle behind.

According to police, he is described as white and 5ft 7in tall. He had a hood up and was wearing black jeans, a black puffer coat and black trainers.
