New buildings at Welwyn Garden City's Holwell Primary School have been opened by Welwyn Hatfield mayor Pankit Shah.
Cllr Shah cut the ribbons to officially open two new learning and community spaces on Tuesday, October 16, which were funded by local businesses and fundraising, including a school governor running a half marathon.

One of the buildings will be used by a family support worker, while the other is set to host community courses and be used by the school's pupils.
"The mayor along with some of the financial contributors and school governors, attended the whole school assembly and cut the ribbon to announce the buildings open for use," said Holwell Primary School business manager, Leila Newman.
"The team at Holwell, would like to thank everyone involved for their help and contributions to make the project such a success."
