An historic bronze sculpture has been stolen from the National Trust site at Shaw's Corner near Welwyn.
It was reported that the 107-year-old sculpture of a lamb was taken from the site in Ayot St Lawrence at around 8.45pm on Wednesday, September 20.
Created by Russian sculptor Paolo Troubetzkoy, described by Bernard Shaw - who gave Shaw's Corner its name - as "the most astonishing sculptor of modern times", the lamb was made of bronze, signed, and dated 1916 on the base.
