Tickets for the new One Welwyn Hatfield Community Lottery are now on sale.
Tickets cost just £1 and the first draw will be on Saturday, October 14.
By purchasing a ticket, not only will players be supporting a local charity or community group of their choice, they will be in the draw to win weekly cash prizes and monthly Super Draw bonus prizes.
At least 60 per cent of funds from each ticket sold goes to support Welwyn Hatfield, and there’s a chance to win the £25,000 jackpot every week.
The leader of the council, Cllr Paul Zukowskyj, was joined by The Mayor, Cllr Pankit Shah and the deputy leader, Cllr Lynn Chesterman, to celebrate the lottery website going live and to purchase the first ticket.
