Welwyn Hatfield residents are invited to take part in a major survey on what matters most to them, with the responses set to shape the council's direction, priorities and budget for the next three years.

The survey, which launched on September 6, and ends on October 1, is the biggest of its kind, seeking views on a wide range of services from recycling to museums.

For the first time, Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council is also asking for views on where to prioritise spending and how additional income could be generated to support local services.

Cllr Paul Zukowskyj, leader of the council, said: “This is a great opportunity to have your say on what you think we should focus on in the next three years.

"We want to make sure that our priorities reflect the needs and aspirations of our diverse communities and that we deliver the best possible services for Welwyn Hatfield.

"I encourage everyone to take part in this survey and help us shape the future of our borough.”

The survey should take about 10 minutes to complete and can be accessed online at www.welhat.gov.uk/survey-2023 or by requesting a paper copy from the council.

All responses will be anonymous and confidential.
