Officers shared crime prevention advice with residents when they took part in the recent Hatfield Community Fair.

PCSOs Shannon Payne, Mark Randall and Stacey Robinson hosted a stall in the town centre on behalf of the Welwyn Hatfield Safer Neighbourhood Team.

They spoke to residents throughout the day, issuing crime prevention tips and listening to any concerns that people had.

PCSO Shannon Payne said: “The fair was a great demonstration of the community spirit here in Hatfield and residents were really engaged with the stall, sharing their views on local policing with us.

"We brought along a police vehicle too which was a particular highlight for the children who attended the event.

“Thank you to everybody who came along. It was really useful listening to your views and we were pleased that in turn you found our crime prevention tips helpful.”

The event was organised by Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council to bring together the community.

It took place in White Lion Square on Thursday, July 27 and there were a wide variety of stalls hosted by a number of local community groups.
