Enjoy 'A Night at the Proms' in Tewin next weekend with three talented sopranos.

Classical crossover group The Bel Canto Sopranos bring their latest show to Tewin Memorial Hall on Saturday, August 5.

The concert will feature three stunning sopranos - Welwyn Garden City-based Gemma Turner, alongside Angie Diggens and Rebecca Huish.

'A Night at the Proms' is a musical spectacular of songs from the shows, famous opera arias, and popular ballads, all finished off with a rousing and patriotic selection from The Last Night of the Proms.

The Bel Canto Sopranos show will include arias, such as Nessun Dorma and Habanera, musical favourites such as I Could Have Danced All Night, and a patriotic selection from The Last Night of the Proms, including Rule, Britannia!, Jerusalem, and Land of Hope and Glory to name just a few.

One of the talented singers, Angie Dickens, said: "It's a fabulous evening of music and song, and a real chance for audiences to feel super patriotic."

Saturday's concert at Tewin Memorial Hall is due to start from 7pm.

Earlier this month thousands attended the annual Battle Proms picnic concert in the grounds of Hatfield House.

With cannons, cavalry and fireworks, The Battle Proms will return to the Hertfordshire stately home next year on Saturday, July 20, 2024.
