Hertfordshire Philharmonia are playing their last concert of the year at St Mary's Church in Potters Bar.

The concert will be held at 7.45pm on Saturday, June 17, and will be conducted by Martin Smith.

Neilsen's Helios Overture will open the concert, followed by Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto, featuring local violinist Gabriella Bavetta, and concluding with Sibelius Symphony No.2.

Gabriella Bavetta, 19, started playing violin at the age of four, and joined the Royal College of Music Junior Department at age 10.

A former pupil at Dame Alice Owen's School, Gabriella went on to do an undergraduate music degree at the Royal College of Music.

Gabriella was previously leader of the National Children's Orchestra of Great Britain for two consecutive years in 2016 and 2017, and became a leader of the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain in 2022.
