A section of Wigmores North in Welwyn Garden City will be closed for approximately four weeks for road and pavement improvements.
Starting today (March 27), the road will be shut as Hertfordshire County Council completes the next phase improvement works by installing a raised road table to improve safety.

These improvements are part of the county council’s commitment to sustainable travel, which aims to make travel to from and around Welwyn Garden City easier and safer for people walking and cycling.

The county council is progressing with several projects funded by the Active Travel Fund, after it was awarded £9 million.
