The Ukrainian community in Welwyn Garden City is inviting residents to take part in Easter workshops at the Howard Centre.
On Saturday, March 25, participants can paint eggs with wax in a process known as pysanka - which is how Ukrainians decorate chicken or goose eggs for Easter.
Pysanka uses a method of wax-resist dyeing, using a tool similar to a canting to apply hot wax to the eggshell, which is then placed in a series of dye baths.
The workshop is an opportunity to meet, chat and learn more about Ukrainian traditions, as well as making unique Easter eggs.
On the same day at the same time there will also be a decoupage workshop for children.
The next day - Sunday, March 26 - groups of minimum two people can take part in a workshop to paint 60-centimetre eggs and showcase their artistic talents.
Finally on April 1, people are invited to join a workshop on twisting candles from beeswax sheets.
A spokesperson from the Ukrainian community said: "This event would not have happened without tangible support from Hertfordshire County Council (warm/community spaces grant) and county Cllr Paul Zukowskyj.
