Pirates are descending upon Welwyn Garden City's Barn Theatre in search of Captain Flint's treasure.
This classic swashbuckling adventure was adapted from Robert Louis Stevenson's novel by Bryony Lavery.
The play was originally performed at the National Theatre in 2014, and became a popular production streamed online during the pandemic.
This gender-swapped production follows the adventures of Jim Hawkins, played by Noah Breeze, as she and her friends try to uncover Flint's treasure, while being pursued by the abominable pirate Long John Silver (Hope Powell Eddy), along with a large company of pirates, sea dogs and land lubbers.
With singing, swindling and sword fights, the action moves from the Benbow Inn, to the decks of the Hispaniola, before arriving on the titular island - requiring imaginative direction and creative set design, all under the eyes of director Laura Eddy and designer Rosemary Bianchi.

Both Laura and Rosemary are experienced in bringing epic productions to the small stage, with their past credits including Tales of the Arabian Nights, Boudica and Nell Gwynn.
The play - featuring possibly the largest cast assembled on the Barn Theatre stage in recent seasons - is dark and bloodthirsty, filled with murder, money and mutiny for both kids and adults.
Treasure Island runs at the Barn Theatre from Friday, March 24. Tickets are available from www.barntheatre.co.uk.
