Children across Welwyn Hatfield have dressed up as characters from their favourite books to celebrate World Book Day.

The Welwyn Hatfield Times has gathered the cutest pictures of our little residents in their costumes.

World Book Day is held every year on the first Thursday in March to celebrate books and reading, and every child in full-time education receives a voucher to spend on books.

In what we are assuming is an attempt to make up 101 Dalmatians in Welwyn Hatfield, multiple children dressed up as Cruella and her Dalmatians.

Abby Lockley and Reilly Francos went to Templewood School dressed up as Mr and Mrs Twit from the humorous children's book, The Twits, written by Roald Dahl.

Oscar and Bobbly Hall, four-year-old twins attended St. John’s Digswell C of E School.
Their mother, Victoria Robinson said: "They were really excited about going to school today dressed and two of their favourite superhero characters complete with matching socks!"
