A woman was punched in the head by an unknown man in Welwyn Garden City yesterday.
On Sunday, February 19, prior to 1am, the assault reportedly took place in Howardsgate.
It was reported that, following a verbal altercation, a woman was punched to the head by an unknown man, causing slight injuries.

Parties known to the victim intervened and the police were called to the scene.
The suspect left the area before the police arrived at the scene.
The police are continuing enquiries to trace the man.
