A Welwyn Garden City charity donated sensory toys to a community specialist school that they “couldn’t survive without”.
In celebration of the birthday of their Patron, Niranjan Bharij, WGC charity AGMS Foundation donated sensory toys and gifts to Lakeside School.
On Tuesday, January 17, charity volunteers met with the schools headteacher Lynnette Johnson and her staff to handover the donations.
Lakeside is a community specialist school for children between the ages of two and nineteen with severe learning difficulties.

The students often have a complexity of needs, and the school specialises in teaching children with hearing and visual impairments, and physical disabilities.
The charity previously worked with the school, donating equipment to make up their sensory mud garden.
Lynnette said: ““Thank you so much for the lovely sensory gifts you gave us. The children will love using them. We couldn’t survive without the kindness of a lovely charity like AGMS Foundation.”
Local volunteers who attended the project, Pat, Petra, and Linda, commented that: “We are very grateful to be able to give these gifts to the school and we hope that this donation will bring the children much joy."
