A fan favourite is back at Welwyn Garden City after a three-and-a-half-year break.
Yasin Boodhoo has re-signed for the Southern League Division One Central side from neighbours Colney Heath and goes straight into the Citizens squad for the away game at AFC Dunstable tomorrow (Saturday).
The 31-year-old defender was a stalwart defender throughout the club’s successful Spartan South Midlands League years, playing at either centre-half or right-back, and was part of the squad to win the Premier Division title in 2018.
Injury plagued his final year and he left to join the Magpies in the summer of 2019, helping them to the verge of the title before the pandemic ruined their dreams.
They still managed to gain promotion and he was part of the Colney squad who were divisional rivals to WGC in the Southern League last season.
The Bedfordshire-based player also served London Colney earlier in his career.
