Internet sensations Woody and Kleiny are set to join in with this year’s Christmas lights switch-on events in Welwyn Garden City.

The festive lights will be turned alongside a Santa sleigh built from scratch, in the town centre in Howardsgate which will take place this Saturday (November 19) from noon to 6pm.

Woody and Kleiny, who are best known for their popular YouTube videos and Prank Wars, will be switching on the lights alongside Alex Murphy from Dancing on Ice.

The entertainment duo will be picking two people to come on stage to play one of their viral challenges at 5.30pm.

Those chosen to play will also have a chance to win £1,000 and many prizes and giveaways will also be up for grabs.

The duo said: "We were overwhelmed by the love and support from the local community at the 2019 Christmas lights event, so to be invited back to do it all again was something we could not say no to.

"We would love to see as many family’s come down and support this community event, where you can catch us on stage from 5.30pm."

The young talent, Immi Davis from Welwyn Garden City, will also be performing.

Immi, who recently wowed the judges on Britain's Got Talent, will be performing at 5pm.

Welwyn village will also be hosting its own Christmas Lights Switch on Friday, November 25, at 5pm.

This event is hosted by the parish council, which is currently running a Christmas card competition to see who will be joining them in switching on the Christmas lights.

The light switch on in Hatfield will take place on Saturday, November 26 - and a week later on December 3 there will also be a Christmas-themed farmers’ market in White Lion Square with fresh and local produce.
