A MAN was threatened with a knife during an early morning robbery in Potters Bar.

Two men were approached by three others in the early hours of Saturday morning in The Walk, heading toward High Street.

One of the two men was pushed to the ground during the incident which happened between 1.45am and 2am, and was threatened with a knife by one of the group, who demanded he hand his phone over.

The man did hand his phone over and the three offenders made off in the direction of Darkes Lane.

Neither victim was seriously hurt.

The man with the knife was described as white and in his late teens, around 5ft 10 inches tall and of regular build. He was reported to be wearing a light grey hooded top (with the hood up), light grey tracksuit bottoms and a white balaclava.

The other two offenders were described as white men in dark clothing.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Daniel Osborne said: “We are doing all that we can to find those responsible for this incident.

“I am appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time of the offence and saw it take place or saw anyone behaving suspiciously to please get in contact.

“I’d also like to hear from anyone who recognises the offender from the description given or if you know who may responsible for this crime.”
