Police are treating the torching of a Potters Bar house as arson.
A derelict property in Barnet Lane was set alight in the early hours of Thursday morning, leading to a stretch of the A1000 to be closed off for many hours.
Now police have confirmed they are treating the incident, in which no one was harmed, as arson.
A spokeswoman for Hertfordshire Police said: “Police were called to Barnet Road on Thursday, May 28th at 2am. The incident has been crimed as arson and the investigations is currently on-going.”
Firefighters from Potters Bar, Borehamwood, Cheshunt and St Albans were all required to put out the blaze.
