The recently taken over White Hart Hotel in Welwyn staged an official opening evening last night (Thursday)

The hotel, which is owned by Charles Wells, is now run by brothers James and Tom Bainbridge.

The pair already have two other eateries, The Tilbury and The Old Post Office Tea Rooms, both in Datchworth.

Over recent weeks The White Hart has undergone a significant reburbishment.

As well as a bar, restaurant and function room it also boasts 13 bedrooms.

The official opening was attended by a range of invited guests.

Also there were some of the hotel’s suppliers who had a range of products on display for guests to try including cheese, wine and ice cream.
