A trial date has been set for a Welwyn Garden City man who was charged with terrorism offences.
Longcroft Lane resident Warren Sneddon, 44, appeared at the Old Bailey last Friday after being charged with several terrorism-related offences, as well as possession of a firearm without a licence and the cultivation of cannabis.
An Old Bailey spokesman confirmed a plea and case management hearing has been set for January 29, with a trial arranged for March 12 at Woolwich Crown Court.
It follows the execution of a search warrant by the Eastern Region Counter Terrorism Policing Command, supported by Herts Police and firearms officers, at a Longcroft Lane property on Friday, September 29.
After the incident a Hertfordshire Constabulary spokesman said: “Due to the swift policing response, there was not any immediate danger to local residents or the wider public.
“Hertfordshire Constabulary continue to work closely with Counter Terrorism Policing to keep the public safe.”
