RAIL services are now operating north of WGC - although there is currently a replacement bus service between Stevenage and Letchworth.
As reported earlier on www.whtimes24.co.uk, trains were disrupted due to a fault on overhead power lines at Hitchin.
A spokesman for rail operator First Capital Connect this afternoon said: "Services to and from WGC and Hertford North are running as normal.
"Rail replacement bus services are in place between Stevenage and Letchworth Garden City.
"Severe delays and cancellations can be expected.
