AIR accident investigators are still investigating a plane crash in which two people were killed on Friday.
The plane, which took off from Panshanger Aerodrome, had been heading for Jersey when it crashed into woodland in Steep, near Petersfield, Hampshire.
The male pilot and his female passenger, who have yet to be formally identified, were pronounced dead at the scene following the crash, which took place at around midday.
The pilot, who is thought to be in his 30's, is a member of the North London Flying School, which is based at Panshanger Aerodrome.
His plane, a Piper fixed wing single engine craft, had been heading for the Channel Islands when it crashed.
A spokesman for the North London Flying School simply said one of its planes was "missing".
Meanwhile, a spokeswoman for HM Coastguard said visibility in the area at the time of the accident was "very poor".
"There was very low cloud cover," she added.
Investigators from the Air Accident Investigation Board arrived at the site on Saturday and a probe into the circumstances surrounding the crash is still ongoing.
