A CYCLIST is fighting for his life following a road crash which left him with serious head injuries.
The 51-year-old from Welham Green collided with a beige Nissan Qashqai 4x4 on the junction between St Albans Road East and Beaconsfield Road in Hatfield yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon.
The Hertfordshire air ambulance was called, landing in St Albans Road East, before taking the man to the Queens Hospital in Romford. A spokeswoman for the hospital said the man was "critical but stable".
The driver of the Nissan, a 64-year-old woman, was not injured in the accident.
