MORE than three quarters of Welwyn Hatfield residents are happy with the area they live, a new survey claims.
The Government's national Place Survey polled almost 1,700 households in Times Territory, and revealed that 76.8 per cent were happy with their surroundings.
But they were less impressed by Welwyn Hatfield Council, with only 30 per cent saying they thought the council services provided value for money.
Councillor John Dean adds: "The survey shows that a majority of residents are happy with the services this council provides. However, this doesn't reflect in the overall satisfaction of the council or the value for money perception. This is something that needs to be strongly addressed.
