The 24-year-old, who lives in Cuffley, was arrested in the early hours of August 13, after crashing his sports car into a lamppost in Judges Hill, Northaw.
Bentley, who scored in Tottenham's 5-1 win at Doncaster in the Carling Cup on Wednesday night, will appear at Central Herts Magistrates' Court in St Albans.
A media throng of some 20 photographers and film crews are camped outside the building, awaiting his appearance.
