ENGLAND and Arsenal's ladies captain Faye White, from Hatfield, is set to be one of the stars competing in tonight's England vs Germany Euro 2009 final.

The Ellenbrook woman, who broke her cheekbone earlier in the competition and is now wearing a mask for protection, should be returning at centre back, for tonight's game which kicks off at 5pm.

The Germans, who have won the last four European tournaments and are also the current world champions, are favourites coming into the match at the Helsinki Olympic Stadium, Finland, however Faye will be hoping her side can create an upset and that she will be the woman lifting the trophy by the end of the night.

Former Welwyn Hatfield stars Kelly Smith and Alex Scott, who left Arsenal for the Boston Breakers earlier this year, are also set to star in the European Championship Final which will be played live on BBC Two.
