VOLUNTEER motorcyclists have been signed up to provide an emergency 'blood runner' service for patients at the QE2 Hospital.
The Service by Emergency Rider Volunteers team will transport supplies from London to the WGC hospital, and the Lister in Stevenage.
The night-time service will be utilised when the once-a-day delivery from the National Blood Service run low
NHS bosses said the move would help save thousands of pounds a year.
