A WGC-BASED charity has been presented with a prestigious award from the Queen in recognition of its volunteer work in the community.
Isabel Hospice was presented with the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service by Countess Verulam, the Lord Lieutenant of Hertfordshire.
The award was handed over at the charity's day hospice facility in Hall Grove on Wednesday and was followed by a tea party for volunteers.
Hospice press officer Gill MacDonald described the award as "one of the proudest moments in the 27 year history of Isabel Hospice".
And in today's Welwyn & Hatfield Times, you can read what chairman of trustees Michael Freeman thought about the honour.
