MOVEMBER has officially come to an end, with men now being able to breathe a sigh of relief – or perhaps shed a small tear – as they finally shave off their month-old ’tache grown to raise cash for prostate cancer.
Celebrities and sports personalities took part in the event alongside thousands of people across the country.
And you may have seen quite a few men in WGC fashioning a ‘handlebar’, ‘toothbrush’, ‘pencil’ or ‘walrus’, for, as we reported at the start of November, members of Hobbs Way-based Welwyn Rugby Club were also taking part.
They raised 1,200 for The Prostate Cancer Charity and Simon Banks, first team captain, hopes that total will end up at the 2,000 mark.
For more on this see this week’s Welwyn Hatfield Times.
