HERTSMERE Labour candidate Sam Russell has told the Potters Bar Edition that he is “very excited” about his party’s prospects in the General Election.
As the first results from the north-east started to trickle in, Mr Russell said: “I genuinely don’t know what is going to happen and I am interested to see how it ends up looking lovally as well.”
Mr Russell said he felt his party had fought a strong campaign since the election was called last month.
“I am very pleased,” he said.
“We have been active all over the constituency.”
