A TELEVISION and DVD combo has been donated to a special needs school in WGC.
Lakeside School was given the set this week by members of the Welwyn Hatfield Community Housing Trust and tenants panel, who won it in their charity Christmas raffle.
Judith Chamberlain, head at the Lemsford Lane school, told the WHT the TV would be used alongside the school’s new XBox 360 Kinect equipment, which enables the children to play without using a controller.
She added: “It was a wonderful donation and a lovely thought of them, something which came completely out of the blue.
“It was funny really as we were just thinking we could do with a flat screen TV to replace our old one and then we received this.
“It will be ideal for the children’s Kinect, which we are using during the lunch clubs.
“So we are very grateful.”
