NEW wheelie bins will be handed out to Welwyn Hatfield residents from Monday, as the borough council presses ahead with fortnightly collections.
It is expected the roll-out will take around six weeks.
But a council spokesman warned: “With over 90,000 bins to deliver, it is inevitable that some errors will occur.”
If you have not received your bins by Sunday, April 3, call the council on 01707 357000.
Meanwhile, Serco binmen missed further collections this week – with a number of roads in Welwyn, Oaklands and the Ayots not serviced.
Refuse collectors were due to return to those roads missed yesterday (Tuesday).
? A new deal has been struck by Welwyn Hatfield Council for all of Hertfordshire’s textile recycling.
The new contract will see 800,000 a year made for the county’s 11 local authorities, with 30,000 for Welwyn Hatfield’s coffers.
Residents will not see a difference on the street and are asked to donate any old clothes into the bins across the borough.
