AN entertainment rental store in Hatfield town centre is to shut its doors.
Blockbuster in Hatfield will be closing on Friday, March 25 after the company decided to not renew its lease in Market Place.
The store’s manager, who would only give his name as Matt, told the Welwyn Hatfield Times: “The 21-year lease came to an end and we decided not to go into another one.
“Hatfield members will now be given very good offers in our WGC store.”
He added: “We have been here 11 or 12 years, before that we were Ritz video. Staff will now go through a consultation period.”
