CONTESTANTS on tonight’s (Saturday) Britain’s Got Talent final will be hoping they don’t fold under the pressure – unlike these remarkable BGT models created by an origami master from Hatfield.

Artist Mark Bolitho has rendered Simon Cowell and co into paper form using nothing but cash, as part of a promotion by the ITV1 show’s main sponsor moneysupermarket.com

The origami master, currently general secretary of the British Origami Society, spent 20 hours and 2,500 – in the form of 100 English bank notes – creating the BGT stage, judges Cowell, Amanda Holden, Michael McIntyre and David Hasselhoff, plus a contestant and their dog.

Mark, 43, said: “Origami is a craft I’ve been practising and perfecting for many years. I’ve created a wide variety of paper-art but the challenge of re-creating something so well known to the nation as the Britain’s Got Talent set was a really exciting prospect.

“It took 20 hours but I’m thrilled with the end result.”
