FIFTEEN new jobs will be created at a controversial Tesco store in Panshanger, the company has announced.
This week Tesco confirmed a 24-year-old, who has been with the company for nine years, will manage the Moors Walk store.
The shop generated controversy in October when the Oak Tavern pub was given less than a weeks’ closure notice by owners Punch Taverns.
The new Tesco Expess is set to open on May 7.
Jess Walker, who started Tesco on a school work experience programme, will manage the store.
She said: “I can’t wait for the doors to open in May.
“I am proud to be playing a part along with my team in breathing new life into the heart of the local community.”
The Moors Walk store will be taking applications from April 8.
