Students will be able to develop their talents in a professional studio setting using the latest media facilities including, a state-of-the-art TV studio capable of recording for full uncompressed HDTV.

There is also a 30-seat post production suite linked to the studio.

Adrian Marden, head of film, music and media, said: "The media industry requires 100 per cent commitment to innovation in terms of technology, creativity and production skills.

"The new facility will help us to produce highly skilled graduates to contribute to the county's competitive standing in the industry and provide more opportunities to further develop links with the local businesses who work in the media.
