100 bottles of wine stolen during Welwyn Garden City burglary

Police are appealing for information after around 100 bottles of wine were stolen during a burglary in Welwyn Garden City.

Officers were called to Handside Lane following reports that someone had broken into a garage and taken the alcohol from a fridge inside.

“A lock on the fridge had been broken and approximately 100 bottles of wine were taken,” a police spokeswoman said.

The raid was between 11pm yesterday (April 17) and 6.45am this morning.

She urged anyone with information to contact officers via non emergency number 101, quoting crime reference B1/18/1391, or report it online at https://www.herts.police.uk/Report/Report.
