1,500 homes without gas in Welham Green


Investigations are being carried in Welham Green with 1,500 homes left without gas.

A National Grid spokesman said: “It is believed that water has entered the local network of gas pipes and has cut off supplies to around 1,500 homes.

“Work is being carried out to identify where the water is entering the network so that it can be removed and gas supplies restored.

“National Grid has staff on site visiting the homes affected.

“People are asked to check the identity cards of callers before allowing them into their homes.”
