A points failure at Welwyn Garden City station is causing delays to Great Northern services this afternoon.

The signalling failure is causing delays of up to 15 minutes and is expected to do so until 7pm, according to Network Rail.

A notice on Network Rail’s website said: ”We have staff attending to effect repairs.

“Whilst this is ongoing, train services may be delayed by up to 15 minutes.

“Once the fault is repaired, Great Northern will be working to restore the train service to the normal timetable as quickly as possible.”
