Police confirm rail fatality at Potters Bar Station

British Transport Police have confirmed that a person was killed yesterday evening after being struck by a train at Potters Bar Station.
A spokesperson said: “Shortly before 5.50pm yesterday officers were called to Potters Bar station after reports of a person being struck by a train.
“Paramedics also attended, however a man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
“The man’s family has been informed.”
The incident is not currently being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
All lines were blocked between Alexandra Palace and Welwyn Garden City yesterday evening.
Potters Bar station was closed until around 9.20pm.
The incident is the second fatality at Potters Bar station in a two-week period.
