DRIVERS are being urged to be cautious on the motorway near Potters Bar.

Black smoke is currently blowing both ways over the motorway after trees caught fire earlier today.

Emergency services were called at approximately 3.10pm and six fire engines and police are said to be on the scene at Dancers Hill Road.

Traffic is moving slowly in both directions between J23 A1(M) and J24, A111 (Potters Bar).
