SIR - In response to comments made by a fellow WGC resident about the Gannetts roundabout.
It is OK if you are heading towards the hospital. Yes there is a zebra crossing but this would be time added to the mum in question's journey to Swallow Dell school if she had to walk in the opposite direction she needed to go in order to cross the road and get her son to school.
I myself have had trouble crossing at that same roundabout with my three children and it doesn't matter which part you cross at cars seem to accelerate across at some speed giving little legs and, I should imagine, the elderly too little time to cross safely. All we ask is that it isn't so built up with bushes, etc which would make it easier to see approaching traffic and judge times to cross.
