SIR - An open letter to residents of Digswell House.
If you only knew the stories this tree could tell.
As a boarder at Digswell House, when it was Sherrardswood School, we used to sit under it in the shade during the summer, hide behind it when feeling homesick, read, write letters home, chat with best friends and, maybe, have our first kiss!
Please keep up watering and let it live to tell the tale.
