SIR - I am trying to get in touch with a man who witnessed an accident between my wife's Ford Fiesta and a Ford Transit van.

He stopped and gave his mobile telephone number to my wife and said his name was Mitch. He was 30 to 40 years of age.

The accident happened on November 30, 2007 at the Roman Baths roundabout, Welwyn.

I telephoned the witness on the night of the accident and thanked him for stopping and supporting my wife's version of events, but since that time have been unable to contact him further on the mobile number, which ended with the digits 2182. He may have cancelled or changed his number. Unfortunately his address was not obtained at the time. I hope I can ask Mitch or anyone who knows him to get in touch with me through your newspaper.
