SIR – I was most impressed to see the new yellow lines around the QE2 Hospital, and the accompanying parking restrictions. Let us hope that unlike the existing yellow lines these will get enforced on a regular basis – or is this going to be another waste

A residents' parking scheme would not be out of place in this area, as currently nearly all parking is being taken up by people visiting the hospital, or indeed hospital staff who are either trying to dodge the car park charge or are too lazy to walk from King George V playing fields.
