Sir - I work as a coach escort taking disabled people to day centres. We go up Ascots Lane, but today due to parking we could not get through and had to turn around.
I know the ambulances and fire brigade have the same problems. I believe most of the cars are staff as it is full up early morning, before out-patients and visitors start arriving.
I believe this is caused by high pricing at the hospital. I have to go to different hospitals with my husband where car parking costs a lot less - eg, Harefield costs £1.80 for three hours or £2.50 all day, where QE2 is £2.50 for two hours. I know cars used to park on the grass and that is why wooden railings were put up but as cars park on the road now it has made it a lot narrower.
